Green ReDesign Case Study: Girl’s bedroom

previous : back to Case Studies list : next

After photo of child’s bedroom redesign (to create a space more appropriate for a 5-year-old girl). Sept 2008.
New paint (Benjamin Moore’s Aura low-VOC line), new (mostly organic-cotton) bedding, an inexpensive antique dresser, a new marble-topped table and a crystal lamp were used to girl up the masculine, adult lines of the queen-size bed in the former guest bedroom-cum-home office. Artwork was created by layering child’s drawings over an unwanted landscape painting. The budget for the entire redesign was under $500.
